Wood Group PSN is a global services provider to the oil and gas industry. The company’s regional headquarters recently moved to four levels of newly-built office space, based in Melbourne’s CBD, housing nearly 500 staff.

CHALLENGE

CHALLENGE

As the existing preferred furniture supplier for Wood Group PSN, Business Interiors was awarded the opportunity to supply and install nearly all loose furniture items for the fit-out. This included pieces for all meeting rooms, boardroom, reception areas, break area, and collaborative zones.

Wood Group PSN requested furniture that was fit-for-purpose and value-conscious. The client also had a preference for Australian-made where appropriate.

A particular challenge was that the space to be fitted out was still a building site during the installation. Our specialists coordinated with various tradespeople and were involved in after-hours installations to ensure that we could meet the timeframes requested by the client.

THE RESULT

THE RESULT

The finished fit-out features a neutral palette throughout the working spaces complete with wood panelling, punctuated with meeting tables and chairs in classic black. Wood PSN has been a long-time user of the Buro Metro task chair, and requested that these feature as the task chair and meeting room chair used throughout.

Eighteen quiet lounges across the floor plans create extra space for collaboration or informal meetings.

We were also able to provide multiple-bay storage, with the installation of five Compactus units – this mobile solution provides Wood Group PSN with ample storage which is very economical on floorspace.

Konfurb Muse chairs, with upholstered seat pads for extra comfort, provided the base for the break areas. Fresh green and white pop against ash-hued legs, for a modern yet minimalistic feel.
